Sharanya Bhagyaraj, budding actress and daughter of actor-director K Bhagyaraj, allegedly attempted suicide Tuesday night by consuming poison. According to police, she has been admitted to a private hospital in Chennai and she is under observation. . Sharanya, whose mother Poornima was a top heroine in South Indian movies during the 80s, had made her debut in a Tamil movie 'Paarijatam', opposite Prithviraj, a top Malayalam actor. A failed love affair is believed to be the reason behind her taking the extreme step.

Mammootty is giving priority dates for the film, which will be shot in three schedules in and around Azhapuzha district of Kerala. The Chief Minister said, that the late L.V.Prasad started out his career as an ordinary person and with his tireless work he reached the pinnacles of the film industry. He recalled, that he wrote dialogues for three of Tamil films - Manohara, Iruvar Ullam, Thai Illa Pillai.
