RAMAYANAM WITH NEW TECHNOLOGIES ON SUN TV CHANNEL

BY N.THYAGARAJAN

The Sagar Arts earlier produced Ramayanam and was telecast in various TV Channels. Now the very same Sagar Arts has produced the very same epic with the inputs of various technologies to attract the TV Viewers. The story of Ramayana is welcomed not only in India but in other countries. The production company is aware that Ramayana is an epic and would not leave the minds of the people who have earlier read the story. Keeping this in mind, Sagar Arts has produced this new serial in the Baroda Sagar Film City by creating the Ayodhya Country with broad streets and people with a number of houses and filmed this new Ramayana. Besides, one could feel that they are living in the Ayodhya country. The Sagar Arts has introduced various technologies for the scenes of the war between Demon Ravana and Lord Rama and his brother Lakshmana. Each and every arrows of Rama's and Lakshmana's will speak the volume of the Ayodhya King Rama's valour who is said to be the reincarnation of Lord Maha Vishnu. Similarly, the Hanuman's services to Rama and His consort could not be described in a word. His valour is filmed by using the computer technologies. For example, Hanuman's carrying of the Sanjeevini Mountain to cure Lakshmana who becomes unconscious during the Ramayana War. The scene was filmed with Anjaneya appearing from the earth to the Sky carrying and flying towards the battle field to rescue Rama's brother Lakshmana is quite appreciable. Similar, techniques were used in this new Ramayana to be screened on the Sun TV Channel on all Sundays between 10.30 AM and 11.30 AM.

The music of the Ramayana episode was scored by Ravindra Jain and Unni Krishnan, Chithra and Chinmaye have sung the title songs. The Art Director Omang Kumar has made big sets for the Ramayana and the apt costumes were used by Nisha Sagar.

A.R.RAHMAN STARTS MUSIC COLLEGE FOR INSTRUMENTALISTS AND VOCALISTS

Chennai: After 15 years of reigning over music charts musician A R Rahman is composing opportunities for young musicians.

Rahman is setting up a music conservatory called the K M Music Conservatory near his studio in Kodambakkam, Chennai, to nurture talented musicians.

The K M Music Conservatory will train aspiring musicians in all genres—vocal, instrumental, classical or fusion—and make them good enough to perform with any orchestra internationally.

The musicians will also perform in the KM Symphony Orchestra that the maestro is putting together. Rahman hopes his efforts bring back what's missing in contemporary Indian music.

“I think the dynamics are not there. Everything is on the face and loud and I think it needs to be a little soft and moderate. That can come only when you have an orchestral music training,” says Rahman.

Sun TV Channel’s Super Ten has come to an end. Because most of its artitstes like Aarthi, Ganesh and many others have switched over to Kalaignar TV Channel’s programme. Like Meendum Meendum Sirippu’s Vennira Adai Murthy and his troupe switched over to the newly launched channel, the Super Ten also faced with the very same problem. Now Radhika’s Raddan is going to air a new programme in the place of Super Ten on all Sundays in the same hours.
